Fashion Designer and Chef
Virgilio Martinez- I am fascinated by how Virgilio approaches food because often you don't connect being outside and dirty with food. I think it's interesting how he has pulled the nature into his food. I think his creativity comes from what he sees more than how it tastes in the end.
Grant Achatz- Grant has an abstract view on food and what he does. I get a sense he never wants to be "done" making types of food. He has a wide variety of things that inspire him. It seems like he is more of a team worker than Virgilio and enjoys having a vast staff to help him come up with new ideas. I also get the sense his food tastes better because its less of a sculpture. I think he takes a little less time to make the food look perfect.
Thom Browne- Thom has the most unique style I have ever seen. I think his inspiration comes from the finished product. It seems like he doesn't care for the sketching part that much. I think he also is inspired to create a unisex clothing line.
