Final Course Reflection

Final Course Reflection-      During this class I learned that creativity isn't just painting or crafting. I learned that creativity is the way you look at things and what you do with it. Most peoples creativity is shaped by events and personal experiences others are shaped by interests and hobbies. I learned that my creative style is heavily influenced by my family. Most of what I do has been done by my parents. They inspired me to try the hobbies that I do.     Seminar has helped me learn that my work habits tend to be organized. I like to have a plan and rough draft before submitting final work. I usually don't venture far from what I know. This class has helped me expand my boundaries. For me, when completing large projects everything must be perfect. My process goes something like this... 1. Make a plan I my head  2. Write it down and edit it 3. Make a model on my iPad drawing app 4. Tweak the model 5. Make rough draft 6. Have some...

Two Quotes from Articles and Books

IN CLASS: read the two articles in description and peruse any two of the books in the classroom. Find two quotes from each source that can apply to your own creativity and could be used in your manifesto project. Post your quotes on your blog and here. Inc.com- " Sometimes you find the best things on Twitter. Not often, but when you do, it's worth sharing. " I choose this quote because if you look at it beyond the sharing Tweets part you can apply it to real life. Sometimes it is worth it to share an idea, post, etc.  " But somewhere along the way, people lose the sense of wonder that comes with creating something. We spend a lot of time following instructions, and not much time being creative." This quote spoke to me. It spoke to me because I feel like I am uptight sometimes and forget about the creative side to things. I could benefit from this.  99designs.com- " So creativity is a skill that is specific to an individual. For some people, it might...

Reflective Blog post

Post on your blog the link to your group's video and the reflective writing (400 words):  What was difficult about this project and what was easy?  What was interesting, surprising, frustrating?  What changed the most from the beginning to the end of the project?  What were your group dynamics like?  How well was your group able to improvise, share ideas, share leadership, etc.? How did your group use the principles of improv in their collaboration?  What specifically did you contribute to the group?  Lastly, what worked and what needed more work in your project?  https://youtu.be/GwaOA6ScjCo - First Draft https://youtu.be/_yelTMJXqZw - Final Submission      Things I found difficult about this project included coming up with an idea and finding a song. My group and I initially struggled to come up with a plot and idea. We solved this by all drawing out a sketch then comparing them all and incorporating each others scenes into...

"Silent Walk" Reflection

Image
From Part A I chose two photos that represent the song "Vianne Sets Up Shop" from the film "Chocolat". It is by Rachel Portman. The song is bouncy and happy. I used it to represent yellow. https://open.spotify.com/track/2vPalVURlUvEwv4xsLGbEM?si=e7dc7f294cac4af5 I choose this image because the bottom cloud in the middle looks like a person dancing sort of like a freestyle flow dance. I decided to name this one The Dancer. I choose this image because the sun makes it look like a person with their hands extended. This gives me a happy welcoming vibe. I named this one The Hugger. The next song I choose was "Where is my Mind" by Javi Lobe. I used it to represent a calm feeling. When walking to this song I found more down to earth in a sense shapes. They were more mellow. In this image I see a heart. It could also look like a person making that sort of heart shape. I named it Heart Blob. In this image I saw a person laying down with their legs and arms out inf...

Reflection on Blog Images

Image
Include  photos of your final creation, your moodboard, your research sketches, your concept illustration, and the process of building your creation (include tid bits about the process) This was the moodboard I made inspired by the yellows and oranges of the nature walk. This was my final drawing. Although slightly different it captures the shape of my basket. It also shows how my last drawing was a purse instead of basket. This is a very rough draft of what I wanted the shoe to look like. I wanted to capture the butterfly and life I saw on the nature walk. The butterfly wing was a symbol I wanted that is why I have a butterfly charm on the basket. This is another rough draft. In this the purse was made to look entirely like a butterfly. Again I really wanted to capture the life element of the nature I saw.
